REGULATIONS THE COMPETITION
1. The 2nd International Composers Competition Musica Sacra 2006 is organised by the Musica Sacra Association and The Gaude Mater International Festival of Sacred Music in Czstochowa (Poland).
2. The competition is open to composers of any nationality.

Age limit: 35 (the entire 2006).

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS
1. More than one score per composer is permitted (three compositions maximum).
2. Submitted compositions must be unpublished, should not have been previously performed in public and also not have been awarded a prize at any other competition.
3. Applicants should submit a composition for mixed choir a cappella (up to a maximum of 16 voices) to the latin text.
4. Duration of the composition: 4-10 minutes.
5. The organisers reserve their rights for the first performance of awarded compositions.

PRIZES The following prizes are provided:
1st Prize: 1500, performance and recording during The Gaude Mater International Festival of Sacred Music 2006 in Czêstochowa (Poland).
2nd Prize: 1000, performance and recording during The Gaude Mater International Festival of Sacred Music 2006 in Czêstochowa (Poland).
3rd Prize: 800, performance and recording during The Gaude Mater International Festival of Sacred Music 2006 in Czêstochowa (Poland).
4th Prize: 500, performance and recording during The Gaude Mater International Festival of Sacred Music 2006 in Czêstochowa (Poland).

PWM Editions Special Prize for the Youngest Winner - the complete set of CDs and scores of Masterpieces of Polish Music of the 20th Century Prizes may not be awarded if the Jury decide so. The decisions of the Jury are final.

ENTRIES
1. The score should be submitted anonymously and marked with an letter emblem. Applicants must submit three anonymous copies of each score, but mark each of them with the same emblem.
2. Sealed envelope marked with the same letter emblem should be attached together with the following data: a) composers full name, b) date and place of birth, c) nationality, d) address, telephone, fax and e-mail address, e) title of the composition.
3. The sealed envelope marked with the letter emblem must also enclose the following signed and dated declaration: I declare that this composition submitted to the Musica Sacra 2006 competition has hitherto neither been published, nor performed before a public audience, nor awarded a prize in any other competition.

The deadline for submission of scores is February 15th, 2006. The postmark is decisive. Results will be announced by the end of February 2006. ENTRY FEE 25 for each composition submitted The fee should be transferred by bank (bank charges are the responsibility of a sender) to the following account: Stowarzyszenie MUSICA SACRA Bank PKO SA VI O/Warszawa swift: PKOPPLPW account number: 81124010821111000003814743 The payment receipt must be enclosed with the submitted score. Cheques and credit cards will not be accepted. The entry fee is not refundable.

FINAL DECISIONS
1. Participation in the Competition is synonymous with acceptance of the Regulations.
2. Compositions not meeting the requirements stated in the above Regulations will not be admitted to the Competition.
3. Contentious cases will be resolved based on the Polish version of the Regulations of the Competition.
4. The submitted scores will be come the property of the organiser and will not be returned.
